About Atlanta's Piedmont Park and Ansley Park
Piedmont Park is 50 beautiful acres of trees, rolling hills, spacious grassy sports fields, picnic tables and trails. Located in the heart of midtown Atlanta, Piedmont Park is, of course, enjoyed by the thousands of people living close by, but is also a huge attraction for folks far out in the suburbs. The extra wide flowing trails run miles through the park and are open to walking, running, riding, skating, and rollerblading. Piedmont Park also hosts many concerts as well as sporting events & league play for sports like soccer, baseball and volleyball. Atlanta's big 55,000 runner Peachtree Road race also comes to a grueling end every 4th of July at Piedmont Park and for a day increases the population of the neighborhood by about 100,000 folks.
Ansley Park is well groomed and features a lovely golf course. The neighborhood, first built in the 1920s, is now a beautifully rejuvenated community. And with the re-facing mostly being done from individual owners of homes here, Ansley Park is diverse with personality and content from the glorious results of this collaborative effort.
