Intown Atlanta Real Estate and Homes for Sale

The city of Atlanta is a relatively small but dense plot within the vast metro Atlanta area. Some of this area within the city limits of Atlanta falls within the I-285 beltway with a smaller portion falling outside the beltway. Intown Atlanta consists of hundreds of neighborhoods and communities within the beltway. Each and every area offers a different feel, sometimes subtle, sometimes dramatic. The distinct flavor of each Atlanta community and neighborhood can often only be experienced and not explained. You can see a breakdown of communities we serve that lie fully or partially inside the perimeter by looking on my neighborhoods page under Atlanta.

Intown real estate is generally dramatically more expensive than suburban real estate. For example: A 30-year-old traditional brick ranch on a basement on a nice lot in Marietta may be $150,000. In Buckhead you might expect to pay over $400,000. It becomes the buyer's choice as to the importance given to close-in living compared with the importance of size, age and amenities of homes found farther from the city center. Frequently the final choice lies somewhere in between. You'll find a number of existing longtime Metro Atlanta homeowners who will move based on the changing location of their jobs, or based on whether their children are of school age. Those decisions are of course as individual as each of the homeowners who make them.

We have broken down many of the most popular areas of Intown Atlanta within my community pages. Please refer to those pages for more specific community information.
