Alpharetta Real Estate

About Alpharetta, Georgia

Alpharetta, Georgia was for the most part a modest small farm town until GA 400 which entending from I-285 into Alpharetta was extended to allow access directly into downtown Atlanta. And while this extension or "leg" of GA-400 continues to have a toll that did not hinder builders and developers from jumping at the chance to buy up wonderful undeveloped farm and horse ranch property and turning Alpharetta into one of Atlanta's most affluent suburbs.

Another terrific addition to Alpharetta is the Verizon Wireless Amphitheatre at Encore Park, which opened its doors spring 2008 with four sold out shows by the Eagles. The summer home of the Atlanta Symphony Orchestra, this fantastic 12,000 seat outdoor venue features concerts, community events, movie nights and more. Exciting sounds from some of the biggest musical acts in America have echoed across Alpharetta's southeast corner including pop acts, adult contemporary, country, classical, etc. (Boston, Bonnie Raitt, The Black Crowes and Alan Jackson to name a few). You'll also have opportunities to see comedians like Jeff Foxworthy and more.

After years of selling real estate in and around Alpharetta, we relocated our own family as well as The AtlantaPros Team permanently in the heart of this beautiful city in 2004. Friendly folks, many of Georgia's top award winning schools and activities for all young and old, this is a tremendous place to live. Free time is spent on walking paths of the greenway, bicycling, rollerblading, visiting the Wills Park Equestrian Center and enjoying the convenience of having all of the necessities of life close by. Outside of work, there's just not much need to stray far from Alpharetta for daily activities and we sure like that.

Alpharetta real estate offers a truly terrific home for lovers of the suburban lifestyle. Wow, what things have developed here even just in the last decade! You'll be impressed. Atlanta is consistently ranked one of the top cities in the U.S. for business and family life, and Alpharetta is one of the hottest markets in Atlanta for both commercial and residential real estate. Excellent schools, shopping, and access to jobs combined with plenty of green space and a down-home country atmosphere have made Alpharetta one of the premiere locations in Atlanta today. We were even chosen by Nick Jr. Family Magazine as one of the Ten Most Playful Towns in America in 2004 - with all our activities, parks, athletics and absolutely terrific neighborhood communities.

Alpharetta east and west of 400 is a very popular area for residents. Wills Park at the corner of Old Milton Parkway and Wills Road (2 miles west of GA 400) will give you and your family all the park pleasures you could want - pool, softball, a huge playground, open areas, tennis, basketball, indoor facilities and even an equestrian area. Alpharetta's 4th of July fireworks display is even held there. Dog owners will also love the dog park that has been added - open dawn to dusk. Park at the Will's Park Community Center on Roswell Street and walk behind the building to find the lovely fully fenced area that has been set aside for our furry little friends to play together. The park is separated to offer an area for larger dog breeds and another for the smaller models.

At last, the majority of the road expansion of Alpharetta's east side arterials has been completed. The area grew so quickly with residential, retail and commercial construction, and the roadways needed to play a bit of catch-up. With traffic now running smoothly, Alpharetta has begun to focus on more wonderful things. Many great businesses have decided to locate their corporate headquarters here, taking advantage of better property pricing than downtown Atlanta, as well as the substantial professional and executive work force that calls Alpharetta home.

If you're looking for great schools, tremendous surroundings for family living, freedom from the dense traffic of intown Atlanta, yet need close proximity to downtown, or even the airport, Alpharetta offers it all to you. Beat rush hour traffic by hitting the road by 7 in the morning and be parking downtown in 30 minutes or rolling your luggage into the airport in 40 minutes. All while taking advantage of some of Atlanta's premier suburban living. If you need to be downtown at 9, you'll certainly hit more traffic, but can still be at your desk in under an hour.

We just couldn't recommend it more.
