Some loans have points, which indicates 1% origination fee paid to the lender. Points along with your interest rate equals the yield on your loan made by the lender.<\/li>\n<li>Fixed or Adjustable Mortgage Rates. Your decision on which to pick is influenced by whether interest rates are particularly high or low at the time, as well as how long you plan to own the home.<\/li>\n<li>Two main categories of loans. Conventional loans are available in both fixed and adjustable rates.
