  1. Keep a regular quiet and well lit table or desk for your child to study.<\/li>\n
  2. Keep a regular time for studies, perhaps before watching any TV.<\/li>\n
  3. Make sure there is enough time for homework; if they’re done early they can do something else they enjoy.<\/li>\n
  4. Be available to help with studies, but don’t do their work for them.<\/li>\n
  5. To avoid fatigue, let them take a 10 minute break each hour.<\/li>\n
  6. If your child is having a tough time with a subject, speak with the teach and consider a tutor.<\/li>\n
  7. Have your child complete their toughest homework first, leaving the easier work for last.<\/li>\n
  8. Offer praise\u00a0for homework completed well. \u00a0Showing positive reinforcement and interest in their efforts.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    Keep a Routine for School Work<\/h2>\n

    By maintaining the routines mentioned above, your child will offer less resistance and be more prepared for their evening studies. These habits will not only benefit them with their studies today, but will be habits that can benefit them for the rest of their lives. Be engaged. By participating in their school work, you’ll help them realize the importance of good habits and deep learning to better prepare them for adulthood.<\/p>\n

    Other important steps to help your children success at their studies, include a good night’s sleep to help their brains to\u00a0recharge. According to studies, sleep stimulates changes in the brain that improve memory, lowers stress and assists in thinking more critically and less emotionally.<\/p>\n

    Also, much like the hourly 10-minute breaks mentioned above, a healthy snack can also stimulate and recharge the brain. \u00a0Think about blueberries, a glass of milk or some other healthy snack for your child to help keep the mind off the stomach, and instead on learning.<\/p>\n
