About Duluth, Georgia
Duluth, Georgia is 25 miles northeast of Atlanta and the second largest city in Gwinnett County with a population of more than 18,000 residents. Duluth, like most of the metro area, has experienced strong growth and the suburban atmosphere is friendly and inviting. With a bit of an old town feel, Duluth still has its annual festivals and town activities and all the lovely parks and activities are a nice feature when you're just minutes away from the busy metropolitan heart of the south called Atlanta.
Duluth is definitely known for its exclusive communities, including terrific swim/tennis communities, and some very exclusive golf and country club communities.
Another bonus of Duluth is that with just a hop and skip to the north, you'll find yourself swimming in Lake Lanier - the premier recreation facility for our area's boating lovers. It is truly surprising too, when you realize Lake Lanier - the largest lake is Georgia - is actually made-made (as all the lakes in Georgia are).
The main access to and from Atlanta is I-85, with Buford Highway being a preferred alternate route by many. Much newer construction, reasonable home prices and a bit simpler life can all be found in Duluth. Satisfying the needs of most anyone who is looking for the American Dream without breaking the bank, Duluth real estate is reasonable and its homes are found in all price ranges.
