Chastain Park is quickly becoming more densely populated. As people increasingly desire the convenience of Buckhead in which Chastain Park is located, they are scooping up the condominiums (both new and old) as well as the homes of the many empty nesters and retirees who are downsizing and taking their long growing appreciation to purchase homes in the more suburban areas. The Roswell Road edge of Chastain has been experiencing much new development as well as some nice face-lifts of older commercial property. This is contributing to the continued appreciation of Chastain area real estate.
Chastain Park home sales are on the increase as the value of the area (due to its close in location) continues to go up. Many recently completed new condominium communities and condo conversions (from apartment complexes) and a short-term lull in condo sales inside the perimeter have left too much condominium inventory in Chastain Park, Buckhead and even Midtown areas. As of this writing that inventory is well on its way to being absorbed. Condo prices should soon become stronger as a result.
